The Common Admission Test is a computer based test held in India. The test assess students’ ability on the context of Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test result in helping selecting students for their business administration programs. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation. Common Admission Test for year 2015 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad on November 29, 2015.
CAT 2016 will be conducted by IIM Bangalore on December 4, 2016. It will be held on that particular day in two-sessions. No change in CAT 2016 test pattern has been announced. Candidates will have to attempt 100 questions in 180 minutes. CAT 2016 will be conducted across 138 cities. According to reports, in CAT 2015, 17 candidates, including a woman scored 100% marks.
