Did you know that ?
Spiders seem to be very clever fellows! (II)
Another spider fixes a thread from the middle of the web and then pulls the web so that it looks like an umbrella inside-out. When a fly enters the cone-shaped entrance the thread is released and the web flies out straight and catches the fly.
There is yet another spider with a bright idea. Instead of making a web, he drops down on a thread a blob of sticky fluid, and twirls it round and round like a cowboy swinging a rope. Moths that fly near get stuck on the blob, drawn up and sucked dry. When the blob dries in the air and is no longer useful, the spider pulls it up, eats it, and then proceeds to make another sticky one.
