Did you know that ?
Spiders seem to be very clever fellows! (I) Everyone admires the wheel shaped web they spin and consider it a wonderful piece of work, but the young spiders construct webs just like their grandmothers. They are born with the idea already there, no mothers teach them. They always make it in the same way, and they never improve on it. You would expect them to introduce a few new ideas, but they don’t. Of course, different kinds of spiders do different things. There is one spider that decorates its web with a nice broad frill of silk. When a fly is caught, the spider seizes the ready-made frill and binds up the victim. This suggests that the spider has looked ahead and is meeting changed conditions.
